The 50 year success story - Bükfürdő

Bükfürdő celebrates on the 19th of August 2012 it's 50 year existence. Our facility received so far nearly 32 million guests. Numerous miraculous wonders, legends, unforgettable holidays and eventful relaxation are related to it's name and history. The miracolous medicinal water made the town with the population of 3300 people firstly to a nationwide, then to a Europe-wide famous health resort. The spa, what was opened with one pool in 1962, was extended to a complex with 32 pools and with over 5200 m² water surface, which is available to the guests with a medicinal spa and open-air swimming pool, an adventure bath, a complex therapy department, a sauna world and a Medical Wellness Centre.

The most popular spa in county Vas

Vas Népe, the leading newspaper of county Vas started its special game in August in order to find the most popular spa of the county. After the survey carried out with questionaires among the spa guests, the readers and guests had the opportunity to vote for their favourite spa on vasnepe.hu from 15. August. They had two weeks to decide which the most popular spa is among the 8 spas in the county. As a result, Medicinal Spa of Bük gained a devastating victory among the voters. During 14 days, Medicinal Spa of Bük received a total of 833 votes, which apart from the positive outcomes of the survey (out from ten evaluation categories the most (four) first places) also shows the fact that Medicinal Spa of Bük is the most popular among the guests. The second place went to Spa St.Gotthard with 363 votes, and the third to Medicinals and Wellness Spa Sárvár with 286 votes.

Hungarian Baths Association

Medicinal Spa of Bük is member of Hungarian Baths Association, dr. István Németh, president-general director of Medicinal Spa of Bük is also president of the organisation.

Pannon Thermal Cluster

On 22^nd June 2001, organisations and companies dominating in improvement and services in the West-Hungarian Region and in the Region of Lake Balaton signed a cooperation contract. The cluster has currently more then 30 members, among them: wellness and cure resorts, medicinal and thermal baths, sanatoria, development agencies, consulting companies, education firms and local governments.

Medicinal Spa of Bük is founding member of Pannon Thermal Cluster, dr. István Németh, president-general director of Medicinal Spa of Bük is also president of the organisation.

European Spa World

Between 2003-2006 Medicinal Spa of Bük also participated in the transnational INTERREG IIIA project among Burgenland, Pannónia (West-Hungary), Styria and Slovenia, which was called European Spa World.

ISO certificates

Medicinal Spa of Bük has been operating according to the ISO integrated quality management system (ISO 9001:2000) and the environment system (ISO 14001) since 2004. The system ensures the regulation, transparency and tracability of certain processes within the company.

Quality prize of Hungarian Baths Association

The outstanding quality of the services in the spa was awarded with the highest 4-star quality prize by the Hungarian Baths Association.

Regional Quality Prize

Medicinal Spa of Bük won the quality award of the Westtransdanubian Region in the category of middle sized companies, which acknowledges the high-quality services and the professional employees of the company.

Bükfürdő is 50 years old. Because of the occassion of the jubilee our guests who are born in 1962 can buy the spa daily ticket with 50 % discount. The discount can be used among the guest, who were born between the 1st January 1962 and the 31st of December 1962. from Monday to Thursday...
