The Bükfürdő thermal water reaches the surface through 4 wells. Uniquely formulated with alkaline bicarbonate, high in calcium, magnesium and fluoride, it has an extremely high mineral content of over 15 000 milligrams per litre, which is outstanding even in international comparison, and therefore has a unique beneficial effect on the body.
The Bükfürdő Thermal & Spa has indoor, semi-outdoor and outdoor thermal pools for those who want to relax and recover.
The outdoor pools offer seasonal refreshment from spring to autumn, while the spa's first iconic pool, the semi-outdoor St Clement's Pool, and the indoor thermal pools offer year-round relaxation.
The thermal waters of Bük are excellent for the treatment of almost all musculoskeletal diseases and are effective for the following indications: arthritis (spondylosis), osteoarthritis (arthrosis), osteoporosis, discopathy, lumbago, Bechterew's disease (ankylosing spondylitis), chronic arthritis, gout, soft-tissue rheumatism, rehabilitation after orthopaedic and neurosurgical operations, rehabilitation after an accident, chronic gynaecological and urological inflammations, chronic gastritis, ulcers, digestive disorders.
Due to their high mineral content, thermal waters are used for therapeutic purposes after passing clinical trials, but they can also be used effectively in health promotion activities, in the wellness field and in medical wellness services. They also have a role in disease prevention and improving general well-being, which has gained additional value in today's fast-paced world.
According to the relevant Decree No. 37/1996 (X. 18.) NM, children under the age of 14 are not allowed in thermal water pools.
